Historic Thesis

This is the first of many free add-ons to the Thesis theme. You must have Thesis to use this add-on. This theme has a few of the customizations found in the Thesis support forums. I tried to put them together as an example how easily mods mods can be added.


Some of the features are:

  • Graphic header
  • Menu bar below the header
  • Styled Widgets
  • Popularity Contest plug-in compatibility
  • Styled footer
  • Styled Full width page

There is one file (dot-ddd.gif) that needs to be added to the core theme over writing the original file.

The file goes in your /themes/thesis/lib/css/images/dot-ddd.gif directory and is included in the down loadable theme file. You should probably rename the existing file to save it if you would like to change the theme back. This will over write any custom changes you have made to your existing theme.

You must log in to access this file.
To download this file you must right click and select Save As

To install this add-on simply unzip the down loadable file into your thesis theme directory over writing the existing custom folder.

I would love to hear comments. Also I am looking for suggestions on what the next add-in should look like.

It’s really 1 image file that needs to be changed. Not a big deal at all.

This is very strange.

If I change my site to Content, Sidebar 1, Sidebar 2 ↓ the download works fine.
If I change it to Sidebar 1, Content, Sidebar 2 ↓ I get a problem when clicking on the link. If you right click and select Save As I can still download the file.
